Meet Ask Soorse AI: Find Your People. Build Your Team.
· By The Soorse Team
You need a lawyer. A software engineer. Someone who works at a company you want to reach. Or a few people who can help turn an idea into something real.
The person you need might already be in your alumni group, professional association, nonprofit, or a friend's network. The hard part is knowing where to start.
Meet Ask Soorse AI, the new name and expanded experience for Soorse's AI search. Describe what you're looking for in your own words, explore real people and opportunities on Soorse, and keep the conversation going as your plans become clearer.
Ask the way you would ask a friend
Open Ask Soorse or use the search bar at the top of the app. You don't need to know someone's exact job title to get started. Try:
- “Help me find people in construction.”
- “I need to find a software engineer.”
- “Who can introduce me to someone at Chase Bank?”
- “I need to find college students.”
Open the profiles that look promising. See the information people have shared, the groups you have in common, and available introduction paths through mutual connections. If you already know a person's name, you can still use ordinary search to find their profile.
These are real people on Soorse, connected to real groups and relationships. Results respect what you're allowed to see; a private profile is shown only when you're connected to that person on Soorse, or it's your own.
Your first question is just the beginning
Maybe you start with construction professionals, then realize you need someone nearby or at a particular company. Add a follow-up like “Only in San Antonio” or “Only people from [company name].” You can refine the request in the same conversation.
Save conversations you want to return to and find earlier asks in your recent history. You can revisit earlier results to see how your search changed, without starting over. On mobile, your conversation list slides in from the side so your current ask has room to breathe.
Big goals take a team
Sometimes you need more than one person. That's where Build a Team comes in.
Choose Build a Team and describe your goal. For example:
“Build a team to buy commercial property in San Antonio with a $1 million budget.”
Ask Soorse suggests roles that could help, such as a real estate broker, financing partner, and legal advisor. It looks for potential matches in the people and businesses you can see on Soorse and shows gaps where a role still needs a match.
Explore the recommendations and shortlist people you'd like to consider. Your shortlist is a private list of possibilities, not a message or invitation. You decide who to contact, and you can confirm their specialty, availability, and experience directly.
The same approach can help you launch a product, organize an event, or plan a nonprofit project. Share the location and details that matter, refine the goal with follow-ups, and keep your choices together instead of juggling names across notes and messages.
Find places to meet and conversations to join
Your network is more than a directory. Ask Soorse can help you find events and discussions, too:
- “Find me an event where I can network with lawyers.”
- “Show me all events in San Antonio this week.”
- “Show me conversations posted in my groups.”
Open an event to check the details and registration options. Open a group conversation to read what's being discussed and join in. Looking for a group post or announcement? Use Soorse's regular search and its Posts filter to find it, then open the post in its group.
It's an easier way to move from “I should meet more people” to a specific event, discussion, or person you can follow up with.
Start with what you need next
Free members get 10 Ask messages a month, including follow-ups and team requests. Soorse Plus includes unlimited conversations. Ordinary search, reopening saved conversations, and saving a shortlist don't use an Ask message.
Think about the person you need, the opportunity you want to explore, or the goal you're ready to work toward. Then ask. Your next step may be closer than you think.
